Bugatchi Suede jacket
A shirt jacket cut from goat suede that has been perforated all over the body, so it is lighter and airier than suede usually is. The collar, placket and cuffs are smooth suede, the front closes with snaps, and it wears like an overshirt rather than a coat.
- Bugatchi Perforated Suede Shirt Jacket, Stone
- A dusty rose-mauve, not a grey stone; the perforation gives the surface a fine mesh-like texture
- Point collar; full snap-front closure
- Perforated suede body; smooth flat suede on the collar, placket and cuffs
- Snap cuffs; side vents at the hem
- Long sleeves
- 100% goat suede, responsibly sourced
- Made in Turkey
- Dry clean only
What is perforated suede?
Goat suede punched with a fine, even pattern of tiny holes. It lets air through and takes weight out of the hide, so the jacket can be worn in weather that would be too warm for solid suede. The goat hide is thin and supple to begin with.
How does it fit?
Cut like a shirt, not a coat: room for a tee or a light knit underneath, hem at the hip. Sizes M to XXL.
Care
Dry clean only.
How to wear it
Over a white tee or a fine knit with dark denim or stone chinos and suede loafers. The piece for a cool evening when a blazer would be too much.
