What is a Rain System® hybrid?
Rain System® is Loro Piana’s treatment that makes wool fibres shed water while the cloth stays soft and breathable; here it is used for a smooth woven front and collar, made in Italy by Loro Piana. The back and sleeves are knitted from extrafine merino at a fine 12 gauge — a plain stockinette jersey — so the piece stretches and moves where a woven would not. Composition: outer 100% virgin wool; front and inserts 100% virgin wool; lining 55% polyester, 45% viscose.
How does it fit?
Regular fit — cut to sit over a shirt or a fine knit without cling, the knitted back giving room across the shoulders. Sizes M to XXL. Zipped up it is a light jacket with a stand collar; half open, the taupe facing shows.
Care
- Don't wash in water
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry
- Iron on a low heat (max 110°c)

Shown over a white t-shirt with mid-wash denim and dark brown suede loafers. Also right over an open-collar shirt with grey flannel trousers.
