Brick RedA brick red crewneck in Paul & Shark’s Piuma wool — “piuma” is Italian for feather, and the name is the point: a fine 14-gauge virgin wool knitted light enough to wear under a jacket without bulk, warm enough to wear on its own. A thin contrast tipping at the neck, cuffs and hem is the only decoration.

What is Piuma wool?
Piuma is Paul & Shark’s featherweight wool knit — 100% virgin wool spun fine and knitted at 14 gauge into a smooth plain jersey. The result is a sweater with the hand of a much finer garment: it drapes flat, layers under tailoring without adding width, and unlike most wool at this level it is machine washable on a delicate cycle.
How does it fit?
Regular fit — straight through the body, the ribbed hem sitting at the hip, sleeves finished with a ribbed cuff. Sizes S to XXL depending on colour. Fine enough to wear under a sport coat or a car coat; clean enough to wear alone over a shirt.
Care
- Machine wash at 30°c max on a delicate cycle
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry
- Iron on a low heat (max 110°c)
- Suitable for dry cleaning
How to wear it
Shown with mid-wash denim and dark brown suede loafers. Also right over an open-collar shirt with grey flannel trousers, or under a navy blazer.
